Applied Analytics in Ohio Featured at Tableau Conference

In October, Ohio was recognized for the State's enterprise deployment of Tableau. The architecture supports agencies and programs across the state, including: connections to the state’s data warehouse, data lake and analytics environment, and data sources. The State of Ohio's Tableau deployment is part of a platform design that is flexible and scalable, will function at an enterprise level, yet still meet the needs of individual agencies and projects. Ohio Data Analytics seeks to address three major challenges common in large enterprises: Data silos, aligning in-house and market-leading expertise, and keeping up with a rapidly changing technology landscape.

The presentation, which can be downloaded on the right, highlights Ohio's unique approach to Applied Analytics. Ohio Data Analytics drives value for agencies in months rather than years by supporting agencies at an enterprise-level. Through an innovative procurement approach, enterprise communications and training, organized data sharing, and use case ideation  the goal is to help agencies drive towards entity resolution. Ultimately, Ohio Data Analytics' collaborative approach brings the analytics industry and data science experts to the State creating multi-disciplinary team that drive towards insights and outcomes for constituents.
